Overview
First time install of the wellness hub happens for two reasons. The hub is installed brand new from the box or has been factory reset. In either scenario, the steps foe getting the wellness hub online are the same.
Initial Steps
- Turn on the TV and select the HDMI input that the wellness hub is connected to.
- If you have a video device connected to the HDMI IN port on the hub, make sure this is powered up and NOT in standby.
First Time Install
- The steps outlined below represent the latest Wellness Hub software version. If you are performing the FTI process with an older version, some of the steps may be slightly different or not in that software version.
- Remove the plastic tab from the HomeSight remote control, then press and hold
+
until the remote control LED blinks red.
- Select your language. Available languages are:
- English
- French
- Dutch
- Spanish
- The installation process will check the firmware version on the remote control and update if there is a newer version. This process can take several seconds, so please be patient.
- If new firmware is available for the remote control, it will be installed now. This process is automatic but you can click here to see the steps involved.
- If there isn't new firmware available for the remote control, the FTI process will continue.
- Connect the wellness hub to your Wi-Fi network. There are several options to complete this task. Follow this Guide for instructions.
- The wellness hub will connect to Wi-Fi.
- The wellness hub will register with the HomeSight cloud.
- The wellness hub will check for updates. If an update is found, the wellness hub will download and install the update. When the update has been installed, the wellness hub will reboot and the first time installation process will continue. This process can take several seconds, so please be patient.
- When the wellness hub is on the latest software version you will see this screen on the TV.
- Configuring TV Control. The wellness hub will attempt to configure itself for how you watch television.
- If you have a video device plugged into the HDMI IN port on the wellness hub, you will see this screen on the television.
- Select the location of where the wellness hub will placed. Locations are:
- Bedroom
- Dining Room
- Family Room
- Guest Room
- Kitchen
- Living Room
- Office
- If you have any Smart Home sensors to pair with the Wellness Hub, you can do that now. Please follow this guide for pairing Smart Home sensors. You can also pair Smart Home sensors at later time using the Settings menu in the Wellness Hub user interface.
- First time installation is nearly complete. You will see the screen below on the TV that displays the installation information.
- Finally, the shutter will open on the hub, and you will be able to see the view that the hub has. Click on Done.
- If the Wellness Hub has not been assigned to an Account, you will see a message on the TV stating that You are not yet identified. To fix this issue, in the Care Portal, assign the Wellness Hub to an account.
- The wellness hub is now online. You will see the main screen on the TV.
