If you need to set up or make changes to the network configuration on your Wellness Hub, scroll down to the configuration you want to use and follow the instructions.
Note: The minimum Internet speed requirements for HomeSight products is 4 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload.
Wi-Fi Connection
If you prefer to use Wi-Fi, you can choose any of four Wi-Fi connection methods (Scan, WPS, QR Code, or Manual).
QR Code
A QR code can be printed out and used to allow multiple devices to access your network.
- Generate a QR code with your smartphone or a tablet. Click here for instructions.
- Use the left- and right-arrow keys on your HomeSight remote to select QR Code, then press OK on the remote.
-
Press OK on the remote. The camera shutter opens to begin scanning.
- Hold the QR code up to the camera, aligning it with the horizontal line across the screen. Once the Wellness Hub reads the QR code, it connects to your router automatically.
Wi-Fi Scan
The scan feature can be used to help find your Wi-Fi network and requires you to enter the Wi-Fi password. You will need to know your router's SSID (network name) and passphrase (network password); the default credentials are usually printed on a label on the back or bottom of the router.
- Use the left- and right-arrow keys on your HomeSight remote to select Scan, then press OK on the remote. The Wellness Hub displays a list of Wi-Fi networks within range.
- Use the up- and down-arrows on your HomeSight remote to highlight a Wi-Fi network, then press OK to displays a password prompt.
- On the password prompt, Press OK to displays a keypad.
-
Use the arrow keys on the HomeSight remote to select each character of the password. When done, move to Enter and press OK. If you enter the password correctly, the router connects to the Wellness Hub.
WPS Connection
WPS is the easiest method to connect, if you have physical access to the home router.
-
Use the left- and right-arrow keys on your HomeSight remote to select WPS, then press OK on the remote. The Wellness Hub enters WPS pairing mode for two minutes.
- On your router, press the WPS button. On most routers, an indicator begins flashing to show that the router is scanning for WPS devices. Once the Wellness Hub and router complete the pairing process, the Wellness Hub automatically connects to the router.
Wi-Fi Manual Connection
The manual connection requires you to enter the Wi-Fi SSID and password. You need to know your router's SSID (network name) and passphrase (network password); the default credentials are usually printed on a label on the back or bottom of the router.
- Use the left- and right-arrow keys on your HomeSight remote to select Manual, then press OK on the remote. The Wellness Hub displays a list of Wi-Fi networks within range.
-
Use the up- and down-arrows on your HomeSight remote to highlight a Wi-Fi network, then press OK to display a Wi-Fi Network prompt.
- On the Network prompt, press OK to display a keypad.
- Use the arrow keys on the HomeSight remote to select each character of the password. When done, move to Enter and press OK. If you entered the password correctly, the router connects to the Wellness Hub.
