HomeSight Ecosystem
The HomeSight Ecosystem consists of HomeSight Web Portal, HomeSight Mobile App, and HomeSight TV experience that the Account Principal, Care Team, family and friends / Personal Contacts interact with.
Devices
- Any hardware device (HomeSight or 3rd party) that can be added to a HomeSight Account
- HomeSight Wellness Hub
- The all-in-one device that connects to the home TV and enables all HomeSight features and functionality through an easy-to-use TV interface and integrated camera. It includes an automatic privacy cover for the camera lens when not participating in a video call.

- HomeSight LTE Connectivity Accessory
- A device that provides a dedicated data connection for the HomeSight Wellness Hub using the 4G LTE mobile network. It may be used in homes without broadband access or to avoid relying on the home Wi-Fi network.

- A small unobtrusive device for multi-modal monitoring of the home environment including temperature, movement, light, and sound. This helps the Professional Care Team and family ensures that the room is comfortable and that the user is going about their daily routine.

HomeSight Web Portal (HomeSight.cloud)
- The HomeSight website is used by the professional care team, family, and friends to interact with the Account Principal User Type and HomeSight Ecosystem.
HomeSight Mobile App
- The mobile app that the professional care team, family & friends can use to interact with the Account Principal and HomeSight Ecosystem.
HomeSight Operations Portal
- The website is used primarily by HomeSight Admin and select Organization Admins and Provider Admins to manage the HomeSight devices and deployments
- (formerly referred to as "partner portal")
HomeSight Cloud
- The managed, cloud-based software system that monitors, manages, and updates HomeSight devices in the home. It provides data collection and reporting with the portal for care providers to administer and operate HomeSight-enabled services.
HomeSight SDK
- A Software Development Kit that provides a rich set of REST-APIs for solution providers to integrate applications, device apps, and cloud services with the HomeSight Cloud.
Event
- A named occurrence at a scheduled date and time with optional recurrence
- Created by a person that has Create Events Permission
- Event name
- Event description (optional)
- Type
- HomeSight call
- Must have at least 2 participants
- An Account Manager may create the event on behalf of the Account Principal or a Contact
- The Account Manager does not have to be an "Included Person"
- Must have at least 2 participants
- Zoom Meeting
- (pre-arranged by a Contact and accessible via the HomeSight TV Experience)
- HomeSight call
- Included people up to 10 total, any mix of:
- Account Principal
- Contact
- It is not required to have a HomeSight Wellness Hub Device in order to be invited to an Event
- Can join via Web Portal, HomeSight Mobile App
Reminder
- A named notification at a scheduled date and time with optional recurrence
- Ex: A message displayed on the TV that prompts the Account Principal to act (e.g., take a medication, get ready for an upcoming appointment or online activity).
- Created by a person that has Create Reminders Permission
- Optional description
- Add at least 1 HomeSight user to receive the Notification (Account Owner or Contact) up to 10 total, or 1 Group
- It is not required to have a HomeSight Wellness Hub in order to be added to a Reminder
Notification
- The display/action that occurs at the scheduled time of an Event or Reminder
- For HomeSight Users with a HomeSight Wellness Hub will receive notification on the TV
- For HomeSight Users with a HomeSight login and currently logged into the HomeSight Portal
- For HomeSight Users with a HomeSight login and currently installed HomeSight App
Users & Accounts
HomeSight User
- Any individual who can access the HomeSight ecosystem
- A HomeSight User has a user type, belongs to a User Group, and is given a role which includes the default set of Permissions which can then be customized.
HomeSight Account
- A collection of information associated with the Account Principal, including Contacts, schedule of events, reminders, and all related data.
- Has 1 Account Principal
- Has 1 Account Manager
- Policy Requires (for now) at least 1 HomeSight Wellness Hub (but could have more)
- Contains the collection of contacts, files, activity, and more associated with the Account Owner
Account Principal (Client)
- The older adult receiving care through the HomeSight ecosystem
- Optionally can be the Account Manager
- Must have (for now) at least 1 HomeSight Wellness Hub (but could have more)
- Has the following information:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Optional profile photo
- Country code / Postal Code / Time Zone
- Optional email address (required if they are also the Account Manager)
Account Manager
- The individual who serves as the primary point of contact for the professional caregiver is typically an immediate family member. The Account Manager is responsible for managing the HomeSight Account, including the Contacts list. This individual will have full administration rights to manage an Account Principal's HomeSight Account
- There can be only (1) Account Manager at a time
- The current Account Manager can REASSIGN the role to another existing contact
- Optionally can also be the Account Principal
- Can be a Contact or Account Manager for other HomeSight Accounts
- Must have Manage Role with all Manage permissions enabled (cannot disable)
- Can have Care and Social Role permissions (enabled or disabled per preference)
- In either the Personal Contacts or Care Team
- Has the following information:
- HomeSight login (email + password)
- First Name
- Last Name
- Optional profile photo
- Country code / Postal Code / Time Zone
- There can be only (1) Account Manager at a time
Contact
- An individual that is invited to a HomeSight Account and is approved to interact with the Account Principal through the HomeSight TV Experience, HomeSight Portal, or HomeSight App.
- A Contact has a Social, Care, or Manage Role with Permissions and belongs in Personal Contacts or Care Team
- "Contact" may be used as a general term and the individual may have a specific user type such as Provider Staff or Account Manager etc
- Has the following information:
- HomeSight login (email + password)
- First Name
- Last Name
- Optional profile photo
- Country code / Postal Code / Time Zone
- A Contact has a Social, Care, or Manage Role with Permissions and belongs in Personal Contacts or Care Team
Group
- A named ("Group Name") association of at least 2 and up to 10 total Contacts
- The default name will be the initials from the first two words in the Group Name (ex: "GN" for Group Name)
- Optional Group profile photo
Organizations and Providers
HomeSight Admin
- INTERNAL HomeSight role with the ability to administer and support all Organizations and Providers
- Creates the Provider Admin
Organization ORG UNIT
- Top-level parent business that oversees one or more Providers and manages Provider data.
- If there is just 1 business entity (1 Provider), then the Provider and Organization can use the same name
Organization Admin
- Can create Provider Admin(s)
Organization Staff
- General access: Read-only / see all activity and stats across all Providers
Provider Organization
- The business entity that provides personal care services to the Account Principal and manages the Provider Staff (Care Team)
Provider Admin = "Staff Admin" (as shown in UI)
- Is a member of Provider Staff (Care Team) with the Manage Role that includes the Invite Contacts Permission
- Can add Provider Staff (Care Team)
Provider Staff
- Direct engagement have Care permissions
- General access: Read-only / see all activity and stats across the provider organization
User Groups
There are 2 User Groups defined:
Private User
- All external Contacts that are not part of the Care Team; include family, friends, and community members that interact with the Account Principal and other account Contacts
- Requires Invite Contacts Permission to be able to add Contacts to Personal Contacts
Staff = "Staff" (as shown in the UI)
- The professionals are responsible for providing personal care using the HomeSight Ecosystem.
- Provider Staff that have direct engagement with a HomeSight Account Owner are Contacts in the Care Team
- Requires Invite Contacts Permission to be able to add Contacts to Personal Contacts or Care Team

Manage Role includes the following enabled permissions + all Care Role + Social Role permissions enabled by default
