Why?
Connecting one or more Shelly Plug Plus UK smart plugs with HomeSight allows loved ones to live independently in the community for longer, and at the same time providing the family or caregivers insights into their daily life and the reassurance that they are taking care of themselves.
Everyday items such as kettles, toasters, microwaves and many other appliances can be plugged into these unobtrusive devices, and over time, will build data driven insights into the activity of daily living and routines of a lived one. These insights will enable families and caregivers to adjust the support and care provided as needs change.

Managing the Device
Instructions for pairing the smart plug with the HomeSight Wellness Hub can be found here
- One push button on the side.
- Press and hold for 2 sec to check status.
- Press and hold for 5 sec to reboot (Possible up to 60 seconds after plugging in the device).
- Press and hold for 10 sec to factory reset (Possible up to 60 seconds after plugging in the device).
Recommended Smart Plug Settings
The recommended settings for a smart plug in a activity of daily living (ADL) scenario are:
- Disable Bluetooth.
- This is done when initially pairing the device to the Shelly App.
- Disable Wi-Fi AP.
- This is done when initially pairing the device to the Shelly App.
- Enable the smart plug to automatically turn on when it has power. Ensures the smart plug is switched on after being unplugged or a power outage.

- Turn off the LED's on the smart plug. Make the smart plug less visible and obtrusive. Less chance of it being unplugged or removed.

- Detach switch. This stops the smart plug being turned off accidentally by press the button on the side of it. In this mode the smart plug can be factory reset of required.
