Installing the Shelly App
The Shelly app is available from the App Store or Play Store
- Search for the Shelly App
- Install the Shelly App, open and create an account.
Connecting Shelly Wi-Fi Devices to the Home Network
- Ensure that the smartphone is on the same network as the Wellness Hub.
- Login to the Shelly App. The dashboard will be displayed.
- Click on
to add a smart plug.
- Highlight Add via Bluetooth then click on Next.
- Highlight the device you want to pair and click on Next.
- Ensure the Wi-Fi network details are correct.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password.
- Enable: Disable Bluetooth. See screenshot below
- Enable: Disable Wi-Fi AP. See screenshot below.
- Click on Add Device
- The device will be joined to the Wi-Fi network
- Assign a name to the device then click on Next.
- Assign the device to a location and then click on Save.
- Device information will be saved.
- Device is added to the dashboard in the Shelly app.
Recommended Smart Plug Settings
The recommended settings for a smart plug in a activity of daily living (ADL) scenario are:
- Disable Bluetooth.
- This is done when initially pairing the device to the Shelly App.
- Disable Wi-Fi AP.
- This is done when initially pairing the device to the Shelly App.
- Enable the smart plug to automatically turn on when it has power. Ensures the smart plug is switched on after being unplugged or a power outage.

- Turn off the LED's on the smart plug. Make the smart plug less visible and obtrusive. Less chance of it being unplugged or removed.

- Detach switch. This stops the smart plug being turned off accidentally by press the button on the side of it. In this mode the smart plug can be factory reset of required.
