Updated
Zoom Webinar support
HomeSight now supports Zoom Webinars, expanding virtual engagement options for clients and staff. There is no change to how you use the Care Portal for this – simply Add a Call and select Zoom Meeting type and enter the webinar link in the same manner as a meeting. For the Wellness Hub the experience is unchanged (noting that for any webinar the client experience is view only - their camera and mic audio is not active).
- Reminder that the hosting and web/mobile joining of any Zoom Meeting or Webinar remains unchanged and uses the Zoom website and mobile app.

New Features
Custom TV Notification Timeout
To improve accessibility for clients who may have difficulty using the remote control, we’ve added new options for using the Care Portal (web portal) to manage timeouts for notifications displayed on TV via the Wellness Hub. This requires the Custom TV Notification to be configured on the Care Portal otherwise the default timeout of "never" will be used which requires a remote control button to dismiss.
excerpt from the Care Portal:
- New Configurable Setting: Organizations can now choose how long notifications (reminders, missed calls, messages) stay on screen before auto-dismissal. This new setting is in the client Account / Edit Profile / Settings tab / “TV Notification Timeout” drop down selection.
- Available Timeout Options: 1 min, 5 min, 15 min, 30 min, 1 hr, or “Never” (requires manual dismissal; this is the default).
Note: Task notifications are excluded and will always require remote control interaction.
Remote Control button presses sent to HDMI input video device
Remote Control (RC400) keys are now automatically passed to the connected HDMI input video device (when supported). Simple navigation can now be completed with the single HomeSight remote control.
The [End Call] remote control button will act as a HOME key for the HDMI input devices (since the RC400 [Home] button will always return to the HomeSight home screen.
Apple TV, Amazon Firestick, Android TV typically support this. Note: Roku devices do NOT support key inputs over HDMI.
Deprecated:
- The Contacts details page for each contact no longer displays recent call history. Call history is viewed on the Care Portal (web) and Mobile app.
